An investigation into the behaviour of earth pigments and mud as paint. ‘Dirty Grid’ displays a collection of earth pigments which were gathered and hand-processed over several weeks. The archival formation of the grid embodies the same kind of systemisation that is involved with the process of pigment making, from mapping and location to storing and refining.
